Week 10 B: Evaluation and Audit

I have written eight posts since March. All of my posts were set by the challenge. I have received two comments over all. The post that received the most comments is titled “My Weekend”. I think this post received the most comments because it was not a challenge blog. The post I enjoyed writing the most was the memories post because I really went into depth of how important memories are to me. Yes, I did change blog themes because at first I didn’t like how it looked and them I changed it to the one I have now. I have 7 widgets. I think its a good number it’s not to many and not to much. I don’t think I have any overseas.

Week 10: My Nomination

For this week’s blog we had to nominate a blog. I nominated Eva’s blog. Her blog is very organized, clear, and descriptive. Her posts are very interesting to read and it captures you. I think I made a good nomination go check out her blog.

Week 9: Family Do’s and Dont’s!

What makes a great family? My idea of a great family is a family that talks, bond and loves each other. Another thing is that they know how to argue. I mean that sounds weird but when you argue you learn to forgive and your bond becomes closer with your sister, brother, mom or dad. These are just a few characteristics that make up a great family.

I have a brother, two sisters, my mom and dad. You could say that we have a lot of issues but, at the end of the day, who are the ones that are going to help you, be there for you, and grow old with you? I know I argue with my sisters everyday. Although, I know how to forgive and forget. I mean you can hold a grudge or you can carry on with life. My family is very close. We share secrets with each other, we cry with each other, and we are a team. I think my family has a very strong bond.

Family is life and memories. Family is like a trampoline. You know that it is going to be there to bounce you back up and lift you higher. Family are the people who know the best. They know everything about you. Surprisingly, more than you know about yourself. In conclusion, family is the best thing in life. Family is were life begins and love never ends.

Week 8: Schooling

What time do you normally get up to go to school?
I normally get up at about 6:30.

2. What do you normally have for breakfast, recess, lunch, tea (dinner, supper)?
For breakfast I have cereal, for recess I usually have fruit or a yogurt, lunch I have pasta, and dinner I have whatever my mom has prepared for me.

3. How do you get to school?
I have my mom drive me to school.

4. How long does it take to get to or from school?
I live far away from my school so probably like 10 min. without traffic, 30 min. with traffic.

5. A typical lunch at school
A typical lunch is eating a playing volleyball after.

6. Subjects you have to do – remember to explain abbreviations like LOTE and ELA
The subjects I have are English, Math, Literature, Religion, Art, Music, Science, and Social Studies.

7. Specialist subjects or electives, options
Well I’m not sure if we have electives but a few I would consider would be the academic decathlon, drama program, chorus, and student council.

8. Technology in your school
We use a lot of technology in our school. Last year we started an I pad program and I think it is going great so far. I really love them. Then we have these really cool boards named smart board which are basically like a projector but more new. We also, have the computer lab. We have really old computers but I still love using them.

9. A typical school day with timetable and breaks
Well a typical school day starts with morning announcements. I do the prayer and then we have our morning classes which leads into recess. After recess we have two classes followed by lunch. After lunch we have the last 2 classes of the day the it’s dismissal.

10. What do you do at break times? Games, activities etc
We play volleyball, sometimes kids catch up on homework they didn’t do, we can braid hair ( considering that I’m a girl), or we can gossip.

11. School bell has gone for end of day – what happens now?
You get picked up in the car line or you get to stay in our wonderful day care program.

12. Do you have to wear uniform?
Yes! Sometimes you look good and other times you look like you just got out of bed.

13. How many days per year are you at school? How is this arranged – terms etc?

14. What do you enjoy most about school?
What I enjoy most about school is that everyone loves and takes care of each other. We are a strong community.

15. If you could improve your school, what would you do?
I would probably have to get rid of the 8th grade privileges. They are really annoying. But when I’m in eighth grade (which is next year) I would like to have those privates. So I don’t think I would get rid of them.
